SOMETIMES necessity is the mother of invention as this father proved when he dreamt up a neat plan to beat the heat.

Dad Mark Hoyle from Nottingham had the genius idea of turning a builders' skip into a pool after he was tasked with keeping his little lad cool.

Capturing his light-bulb moment on his vlog LadBaby, Mark explained his miracle mission.

He said: “So with the weather being a thousand degrees all week the Mrs has been moaning on at me about buying a paddling pool for the kid.

“The Mrs is out all day at her mum's and I’ve had a bit of an idea - let’s say everyone wins.”

Mark said: “It will stop his head getting hot and he’ll sleep better.

“She keeps calling me tight, it’s not that it’s tight - well I am tight.

“But that’s not the reason that’s stopping me is that I don’t fit in a paddling pool."

But Mark points out that he was baking as well.

And so the skip was delivered and a hose filled it with water.

His wife then came home and she found it hard to keep her cool.
