Inside Britain’s first ‘sex doll brothel’ where owner claims ‘punters don’t mind if they’ve been used before them’

A TYCOON who launched Britain's first "sex doll brothel" has said most punters do not mind if the plastic partners have been used by other men before.

The owner of Lovedoll UK – which sells custom-made silicone dolls – has begun a "try before you buy" service on an industrial estate in Gateshead.

Clients pay £100 for alone time with one of the dolls in a room furnished with a double bed.

If they enjoy the test-run they can take one home for around £2,000.

The brains behind the service - a 40-year-old who goes by the name Graham - insists it is not a true sex doll brothel like ones that have opened recently in Spain and Germany.

But he says British sex workers are scared a new breed of realistic dolls will put them out of business.

Graham said: "I have spoken to escort services before about bringing sex dolls into brothels - but they are scared.

"I don't know why they are, it may just require more of a vision than they have. It is more efficient - the sex dolls can pretty much run themselves.

"Maybe they just don't think that it's viable, or that it would put real life escorts out of business.

"If I found somewhere that was open enough to consider it then I would think about selling them a couple of my dolls.

"Seventy per cent of guys aren't bothered that the dolls have been used before. The other 30 per cent would never touch a used doll."

Graham - who admits he has tried the dolls himself - says the lifelike dolls can be designed to look like a partner, crush or a celebrity.

And it is not only men who take an interest - he says many of his customers are women who want to keep their husbands from cheating.

He added: "I always knew that sex dolls were going to be normalised.

"Some guys will get a whole harem of dolls.

"Some men keep them for 24 hours and sell them straight back but some might keep them for ten years and get married to them.

"In the future every celebrity – every Kate Winslet – could have a sex doll. It'll be part of their merchandise.

"A lot of wives buy them for their men to try to stop them cheating or to spice up their sex lives.

"People are falling in love with these dolls. A lot of the time it is more fantasy than reality and they give them a personality which they fall in love with - which is often similar to their own.

"People might criticise the concept, but if anything, this is a celebration of women. If men were not so enamoured with women they would not want to create dolls in their likeness."

And the company has now started to stock a range of male dolls which come with either a six or seven inch bionic manhood.

Last month we interviewed Harmony, a sex robot with a Scottish accent that can fake orgasms and claims to enjoy threesomes.

An academic claimed the growing craze for sex robots will lead to a growing number of "digisexual" men whose only relationships will be with dolls.
