A SQUIRREL had to be rescued after he was bizarrely trapped in a fence by his crown jewels after his testicles swelled up.

The creature’s painful experience was captured on video by a stunned – yet sympathetic – bloke, who admitted: “I’ve never seen anything like this in my life.”

David Prince was taking a stroll with his son on Monday when he found the unfortunate rodent clinging desperately to a wooden barrier.

Looking closer, he was shocked to see the squirrel had somehow managed to wedge his nether regions firmly between two separate panels.

In video footage, the squirrel can be seen frantically trying to turn around and escape, clawing desperately at the fence panels.

His paws can also be seen trying to free his trapped testes – but they were too swollen to shift easily.

Prince, from Madison in Mississippi, said: “I’ve never seen anything like this in my life.

“My son saw it and came and got me. I’ve no idea how long he was stuck.

“Judging by his energy level I would think not too long.”

Moving to the other side of the fence to take a closer glimpse, Prince can be heard saying to his son while videoing the animal's eye-watering plight: “That poor guy.

"That is no kidding, this squirrel’s balls are stuck in the fence."

Approaching the firmly wedged critter, he adds: “Hey you, you got some issues going on there?

“You got some problems buddy?

“Oh poor guy, he does not look too happy.”

Prince decided to try and rescue the animal, explaining later: “I used a stick to pry his nuts up to the top of the fence.

“I broke one stick trying, and we also tried to pry the fence apart.

“He ran off into the bushes and we haven't seen him since.”
