From twerking to doing yoga with your dog, these are the weirdest fitness trends set to make a splash in 2017.
Twerking
It's not just a popular dance craze, you can now go to an exercise class designed especially for twerking fans.
Forget zumba, this booty popping class combines fat burning and toning - and is sure to give you the rear of the year.
Doga
It may sound barking mad, but you can now do yoga with man's best friend.
Apparently, bringing your pooch to a stretch class reduces stress in both of you within six classes. But who will be better at downward facing dog?
There's also been a rise of naked classes, Damasdrake (yoga to his hip hop beats), and classes on SUP paddle boards.
Or cool off after your jog with snowga - which is, you guessed it, yoga in the snow.
Running backwards
You might get some odd looks, but running backwards uses 30 per cent more energy than moving forward at the same speed.
But it does have its challenges, such as not being able to see where you're going.

Barefoot training
Ditch your shoes to strengthen your feet, and learn to run faster, jump higher and lift more weight.
Your feet are covered in sensors and when you engage them with the floor you should see more muscle activation, according to those behind the trend.
Try barefoot sprints, push-ups, deadlifts and lunges to exercise without the risk of blisters.
